    • In the United States, marijuana is defined as any cannabis sativa plant that has greater than 0.3% of THC, while Hemp plants are defined as any cannabis plant that has 0.3% or less of THC.

 

  • WHAT IS THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM?
    • Is responsible for regulating responses between humoral and cellular systems by controlling and maintaining homeostasis in the human body. The endocannabinoid system has three components: receptors (CB1 and CB2), enzymes and endocannabinoids.
    • The ECS hosts many processes in the body ranging from pain, memory, mood, appetite, stress, sleep and immune function to name a few.

  • HOW DOES CBD AFFECT THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM?
    • Understanding the effects of CBD involves examining the relationship between the receptors and endocannabinoids.There are two types of receptors: CB1 and CB2.
    • CB1 receptors are primarily in the central nervous system and are responsible for governing coordination, movement, pain, appetite, memory, mood, and other functions.
    • The CB2 receptors are in the peripheral nervous system, influencing pain, and inflammation.
    • After the enzymes break down the cannabinoids, the endocannabinoids look to bind with receptors. Researchers believe that CBD does not directly attach itself to the receptor but influences it in some way. Activating these receptors is what allows for many of the health benefits that people associate with the compound.

  • DOES CBD MAKE YOU HIGH?
    • No. CBD can be extracted from a cannabis plant, but it doesn’t have the same ability to create a “high” or state of euphoria as marijuana or THC. CBD may help you feel relaxed, but you won’t get high if you choose to use a CBD-infused oil, tincture, edible, or other product.

    • Most work-place drug screens and tests target delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and do not detect the presence of Cannabidiol (CBD) or other legal natural hemp based constituents. Even though our products contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight (Federal Legal Limit), studies have shown that ingesting Full Spectrum CBD can cause confirmed positive results when screening urine and blood specimens. Accordingly, if you are subject to any form of employment drug testing or screening, we recommend (as does the United States Armed Services) that you DO NOT take our products. Before taking our products, consult with your healthcare practitioner, drug screening testing company or employer. This website requires you to also be at least 18 years or older to purchase our products. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally-occurring constituent of the industrial hemp plant.
